Position Title: Administrative Assistant
Location: Reston, Virginia
Department: Marketing
Classification: Full-time, Non-Exempt, Temporary to hire
Reports to: Vice President of Marketing

Position Summary:

  • Provide all facets of administrative support for the Marketing Department, and serve as back up support to Sales Department

  • Maintain marketing email inboxes and communication portals; update and support website as well as social media sites

  • Update and manage marketing database

  • Assist in the coordination of media and promotional events, luncheons, breakfasts and trade show exhibits

  • Interact with print and marketing vendors in such areas as obtaining and preparing bids as well as placing orders for marketing materials; proofread, deliver, and maintain inventory of marketing collateral.

  • Respond to and or distribute incoming leads

  • Track marketing expenditures and remain within budget

Qualifications Summary

  • Approximately two years of related or equivalent administrative experience

  • Associate’s Degree preferred

  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Exceptional follow-up and client service skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Event planning experience

  • Project management skills

  • Passionate and dedicated to performing administrative tasks in an efficient and proactive manner within deadlines
