Position Title: Assistant Branch Manager

Position Description:

  • Provide superb customer service and exceed customer expectations
  • Supervise, motivate, and lead branch team members
  • Support all aspects of sales, service and transaction activities at the branch
  • Train newly hired branch members and ensure quality control over all related activities
  • Assist Branch Manager with overseeing daily branch operations
  • Responsible for overseeing and meetings goals, profitability, internal controls, and for ensuring that all personnel consistently meet and exceed service standards
  • Serve as back up to Branch Manager
  • Suggest ways to support change, process improvements and coach others through change
  • Lead by example in sales, service and referrals. Meet monthly referral goals
  • Ensure audit controls are followed and maintain strict security measures utilizing dual and internal controls. Track and monitor teller and vault and differences and report concerns to Manager
  • Responsible for contributing to all performance reviews for branch staff
  • In the absence of the Branch Manager, the Assistant Branch Manager supervises the entire branch.
  • May participate in the selection and/or hiring process for new employees

Qualifications Summary:

  • Minimum three years experience in a team lead or supervisory role within a financial institution, bank or credit union
  • Bachelor’s Degree desired
  • Understanding of loan products and how to read credit reports
  • Ability to confidently coach and lead employees
  • Experience with initiating referrals and cross-sell products and services
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • In depth knowledge of Federal and State Banking Regulations
  • Consumer Underwriting and Credit Report knowledge preferred
  • NMLS Registration an asset
  • Knowledge of state regulations for Safe Deposit Boxes
  • Knowledge of Risk Management and Compliance policies
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Great leadership skills
  • Strong knowledge of risk management and loss prevention

Salary is commensurate with years of experience and education. The selected candidate will undergo a background and credit screening. US citizenship is required to obtain a secret clearance.
