Jones Networking is recruiting for a Community Manager to join a residential community in Arlington, VA. The Community Manager serves as the primary lead in Leasing and Resident Retention, providing support and oversight for the Lease Administration and satisfying daily resident concerns. This is a career opportunity to join, grow, and excel within an award winning property management team! Community Manager Position Summary:
– Generate new traffic / leases and secure renewal leases, demonstrating excellent leasing skills and closing abilities, compliant with Fair Housing procedures.
– Actively participate in maintaining strong resident relations in the community by setting the tone for warmth and sincerity in delivery of excellent customer service, attending resident events, and generating creative ways to remain in touch with the residents on a regular basis.
– Assist with training, on-boarding and conducting team member evaluations.
– Maintain expert level knowledge of the features and benefits of the property.
– Oversee staff performance to ensure all resident and building needs are met.
– Direct Resident Retention Initiatives seeking to maximize lease renewals.
– Develop and implement programs to generate traffic, generate and follow up on leads, and convert sales.
– Create weekly leasing goals and objectives for the property and communicate objectives to leasing staff, providing oversight in leasing practices.
– Maintain thorough knowledge of competitors’ market information.
– Participate in weekly pricing discussions and monitor traffic and leasing velocity to verify all staff are following prescribed procedures for following up with and closing prospective leads.
– Create flyers for property information and marketing and post daily listings on Craigslist.
– Ensure information is current with marketing sites such as Apartments.com and ApartmentGuide.com.
– Provide backup support to Leasing Team by conducting tours, processing rental applications and providing general assistance as necessary.
– Coordinate with maintenance and grounds team to ensure immaculate appearance of all aspects of the property.
– Manage move in calendar allowing for all units to be ready by move in date.
– Distribute and collect leases making sure all documents are properly executed.
– Manage Accounts Receivable for the property ensuring all payments are received and recorded in an accurate and timely manner
– Work with outside vendors to maintain adequate stock of supplies and accurate service intervals utilizing the most cost-effective methods available.

Community Manager Qualifications:
– Minimum two years of leasing management or assistant community management experience in the residential Property Management field required.
– Desire to build and work within a collaborative team environment.
– Strong leadership skills, able to lead by example.
– ARM or other relative Property Management Certification desired.
– Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
– Professional demeanor with all tenants, staff and business partners.
– Accounting experience desired.
– High School diploma required, College Degree preferred.
