The Compensation Manager is responsible for managing the compensation function and total rewards program. Compensation Manager Position Summary:
-Write detailed employee job descriptions and help determine appropriate pay levels.
-Conduct external pay studies to ensure salaries are competitive within the industry.
-Conduct internal pay studies for exempt and non-exempt employees.
-Oversee budgeting for promotions and salary increases, including cost-of-living raises.
-Research and determine the structure for alternative compensation plans. (commission, stock, equity options, etc.)
-Administer compensation programs including the merit process, pay scales, data analysis and trending.
-Lead the development and completion of compensation reviews and recommendations related to merit / promotion / equity increases.
-Work closely with HR Recruiting to benchmark positions and develop competitive total rewards packages including base, long- term equity and variable compensation.
-Evaluate job positions, determining classifications, exemption status, and salary structure.
-Lead annual review cycle including design, administration, distribution and communication.
-Partner with HR on the development and documentation of career paths and align internal job / pay relationships.
-Anticipate future business changes and challenges to develop new or revised compensation plans.
-Monitor the effectiveness of existing compensation policies, guidelines and procedures, recommending plan revisions or new plans as needed.
-Keep apprised of federal, state and local compensation laws.

Compensation Manager Qualifications Summary:
-A minimum of three years responsibility in executive and non-executive compensation, design and implementation in a corporate environment for a minimum of 75 employees.
-Experience with compensation surveys, custom survey design and statistical analysis.
-Experience with incentive plan design & analysis, job evaluation methodologies and pay structure analysis & design.
-Experience with compensation in a high-growth organization.
-Knowledge of job analysis and job evaluation principles, methods and procedures.
-Project management and data analytics experience.
-ADP Workforce experience desired.

-Bachelor’s degree desired.
-Certified Compensation Professional – CCP designation preferred.
