Position Title: Electrician / Electronic Technician

Position Summary:
– Travel to different locations throughout the Southeastern US to repair company textile and weaving machinery.
– Responsible for the diagnosis and repair of electrical equipment including motors, process controllers, DC power supply’s and a wide variety of electrical mechanisms involved in weaving technologies.
– Responsible for maintaining or replacing defective electrical components, installing new electrical equipment and performing preventative maintenance such as cleaning, and repairing of electronic modules.
– Assure loss of production time by laying out wiring control panels, power distribution panels, and controls to confirm with specifications and schematic drawings.
– Repair or replace defective components and parts and return equipment to service.
– Perform electrical troubleshooting and perform electrical work on transformers, sensors, and other equipment involved in the weaving operation.
– Maintain and improve the performance and condition of equipment and facilities.
– Ensure that all new plant equipment and utensils are designed adequately with the proper material.
– Maintain and improve the performance and condition of equipment and facilities.
– Perform troubleshooting skills on down equipment and maximize run time.

Qualifications Summary:
– An Associates degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering Technology OR a minimum of 4 years of military service with Technical training in maintenance and / or electric / electronic maintenance.
– Proficient in high reliability soldering techniques.
– Ability to read schematic drawings and engineering prints.
– Ability to use various test equipment including (DMM, Meger, Oscilloscope, etc.)
– Must be skilled in the use of tools common to the trade and has good soldering skills.
– Experienced with various types of transformers, breakers, contactors, relays, AC&DC motors, dc drives, solenoids, proximity sensors, pressure transducer, process controllers is helpful.
– Experience programming and troubleshooting PLC systems with related controls and operator Interfaces.
– Ability to lift in excess of 55lbs.
– Ability to work well with others and interact with customers.
– Ability to work long days when necessary.
– Demonstrate safe work habits.
– Must have strong technical knowledge, but also be professional and have a high level of personal integrity and accountability.

This position pays 17.00-20.00/hour, depending on experience. Excellent benefits including Medical, Vision and Dental. PTO offered, 401k following one year of employment.
Up to 60% travel throughout the Southeastern United States.
