Position Title: Executive Fundraising Coordinator
Location: Herndon, Virginia
Industry: Non-profit / Foundation
Status: Full time, Temporary to Hire

Position Description:

  • Provide support to Executive Director of Foundation
  • Perform outreach support to generate funds for donations to sponsor the Foundation
  • Responsible for event planning and attending events
  • Assist with allocating member donations
  • Execute fundraising programs
  • Coordinate conferences and logistics for meetings
  • Meet with members to explain foundation’s goals and solicit donations
  • Update and maintain member contact lists
  • Assist with creating marketing materials and social media outreach

Qualifications Summary:

  • Minimum two years experience working for a non-profit organization, trade association or foundation
  • Fundraising experience required
  • Event planning experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree an asset
  • Business development / sales experience desired
  • Entrepreneurial mindset
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Outgoing and social personality
  • Flexibility to attend and participate in events off site and occasionally outside of standard business hours
