Jones Networking is recruiting for a Human Resources Generalist to support all HR functions in a food manufacturing facility in Sterling, VA. This role provides support in all functional areas of Human Resources, including; recruitment, on-boarding, employee relations, job/performance evaluation, training and payroll. HR Generalist Position Summary:
-Administer various human resource plans, policies and procedures for plant personnel.
-Answer questions from employees regarding HR policies and procedures.
-Ensure the organization’s current HR requirements are met and the HR strategy is implemented effectively.
-Provide proper guidance on coaching and counseling matters to plant leadership.
-Recruit and facilitate the hiring of qualified candidates and participate in on-boarding new hires.
-Maintain employment files and ensure all new hire documents are accurate and thorough.
-Uphold compliance with federal and state regulations surrounding employment.
-Provide guidance on performance management, including but not limited to; coaching, counseling and disciplinary actions.
-Assist in the counseling of employees and managers on confidential matters.
-Support in the planning of employee events as well as employee rewards & recognition programs.
-Investigate employee relations matters accurately and promptly.

HR Generalist Qualifications Summary:
-Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration or other related concentration preferred.
-Minimum two years of experience in a Human Resources Department.
-Knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. ADP Workforce Now is a plus.
-Ability to handle adverse situations while maintaining professionalism, accuracy and consistency.
-Fluency in Spanish is desired.
