Position Title:  Legal Assistant

Hours:  9AM to 5PM

Legal Assistant Position Summary:
– Scheduling and calendar management
– Typing, formatting, proofreading correspondence, court documents, estate
administration and planning documents
– Communicating with clients, court staff and other parties in person, by telephone,
and in writing to request appointments
– Assembling documents for presentation to clients
– Attending client meetings to witness and notarize documents
– Processing tax returns for filing
– Entering attorney time
– Assisting with billing and preparing invoices

Legal Assistant Qualifications Summary:
– Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Adobe
– Current Maryland Notary
– Familiar with estates and trusts terminology and procedures
– Strong written and verbal communication skills
– Excellent organization skills
– Ability to multi-task
– Be able to process basic banking and bookkeeping skills such as check writing,
preparing deposits, maintaining a check register and balance a checking account
– Detail oriented and being able to maintaing confidential information
Approximately 45,000 – 50,000/annually, depending on experience.
