Position Title: Membership Development Manager

Position Summary:

  • Develop and execute strategic membership recruitment, retention, and renewal efforts for the Association
  • Promote and educate prospective and current members on membership benefits, products, and meetings
  • Develop and maintain strategic membership recruitment efforts to include sourcing and follow-up to prospective members
  • Develop and manage process for member feedback on programs and services
  • Create standard recruitment and retention material
  • Remain fully knowledgeable of Association’s programs, publications, meetings, and services in order to respond accurately to member inquiries
  • Attend events, conferences and tradeshows to provide onsite membership services
  • Follow-up with customers to ensure satisfaction of membership services, purchased products and information
  • Pursue collections on past due membership applications
  • Implement and incorporate information regarding subscription, order entry, and registration processing
  • Lead the membership mailing outreach campaign
  • Initiate ways to improve tasks to provide better customer service

Qualifications Summary:

  • Minimum five years association and membership experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in communications or related field
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Prior membership development and/or sales experience
  • Ability to provide outstanding customer service
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and database management
  • Ability to coordinate multiple priorities with urgent deadlines
