Payroll Manager Position Summary:

  • Manage and execute all aspects of multi-state and international payrolls for approximately 1500 employees
  • Develop, mentor and supervise daily activities of payroll staff, including providing direction for tasks, coordinating priorities and providing guidance on performance and development opportunities
  • Oversee payroll review, as well as record and reconcile payroll related financial information and tax filings
  • Serve as a liaison with the HR Department and Accounting Department to recommend and implement process improvements and establish best practices
  • Develop and maintain documentation of key payroll related processes
  • Prepare and review payroll journal entries, perform payroll related account analysis and reconcile payroll and benefit related general ledger accounts on a monthly basis
  • Prepare and oversee preparation of a variety of payroll related documents for the purposes of compliance, internal control, and audit
  • Review and reconcile all tax filings related to payroll including quarterly and annual filings

Payroll Manager Qualifications Summary:

  • Minimum five years payroll management experience
  • Certified Payroll Professional designation desired
  • Experience with Workday preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree in relative field required
  • Excellent leadership abilities
  • Thorough knowledge of Federal and State wage laws
  • Experience with international payroll design, setup, and processing
  • Proactive leader who will ensure the payroll team is able to keep pace with internal and external business and compliance requirements
