Records Manager Position Summary:
-Work in all phases of the records management lifecycle conducting records inventories, developing file plans, and drafting records control schedules.
-Develop and implement the records management program, including training and guidance, in collaboration with team members.
-Advise and collaborate with colleagues to improve business efficiency and compliance with relevant laws, regulations and standards.
-Oversee the Records Management program and ensure the implementation of retention and disposal schedules, the appropriate management of electronic and/or paper-based records, and compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
-Provide practical guidance to colleagues regarding storage, arrangement, indexing, and disposal of records.
-Develop and implement records management-related training, communications programs, plans, and materials.
-Maintain good customer service and working relationships with lawyers, legal assistants, and staff regarding retrieval and management of records in a timely fashion.
-Implement established records retention policies.
-Process offsite storage and document destruction.

Records Manager Qualifications Summary:
-Minimum five years experience in records and document management, including supervisory experience.
-Experience implementing records management standards and policies.
-Detailed knowledge of legal records management and knowledge of various record-keeping practices.
-Knowledge of legal retention issues along with experience managing active and inactive records.
-Experience collecting and utilizing information necessary to create and update complex filing systems.
-Ability to maintain confidentiality and communicate with tact and diplomacy.
-Demonstrated organizational skills.
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
-Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
