HR Recruiting Assistant Position Summary

  • Provide administrative and clerical support to the Recruiting Department
  • Post job descriptions for vacant positions on the Firm’s Intranet
  • Communicate position requirements to staffing agencies and candidates; maintain and send out agency job vacancy list to recruiter contacts and update and maintain agency e-mail distribution groups
  • Enter job applicant information and resume into applicant tracking system
  • Respond to applicant inquiries and prepare and send out applicant correspondence
  • Administer skills testing to job applicants
  • Arrange applicant interviews; coordinate with candidates, recruiters and internal managers
  • Conduct reference checks and employment verifications
  • Gather information for new hire preparations and new hire work space set-ups
  • Participate in new employee orientations
  • Assist with on-boarding new hires

HR Recruiting Assistant Qualifications Summary

  • Human Resources and/or recruitment support experience or internship, preferably in a law firm, professional services, or corporate recruitment setting
  • Bachelor’s Degree in relative field required
  • Efficient and accurate data entry skills; HRIS system experience preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to lead and facilitate group meetings
  • Ability to work core hours of 9:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, and flexibility to work occasional overtime and/or alternative hours to meet the needs of the HR department as requested
  • High level of confidentiality; able to maintain sensitive personnel documents and information
