Position Title: Sales Engineer
Location: Charlotte, North Carolina (South Charlotte)
Work Hours: 8AM-5PM
The Sales Engineer position is responsible for interacting with potential and current clients to grow sales revenue. They are also responsible for implementing design modifications when necessary to fit client’s needs. This is a dual position, one part sales and client interfacing and the second part designing and modifying company machinery for client specifications.
Business Development Summary:
-Maintain an updated customer database for project activities and organize future calendar activities for all phases of customer projects
-Establish face to face meetings and opportunities to develop potential clients
-Develop and implement plans to contact potential organizations for the purpose of finding new clients for company products
-Provide account intelligence and support on opportunities to develop the highest quality solutions
-Following potential customer meeting, investigate and produce proper machine and design details that best suits that customers needs
-Create and implement design modifications to improve the customer’s experience
-Coordinate design and cost of design including cost estimates to fellow team members
-Maintain open dialogue at all times with customers to maintain satisfaction
– Civil or Mechanical Engineering Degree required
– At least 1-2 years of engineering experience required
– Experience working within the plastics industry
– Must be well-organized with good analytical skills
– Must be willing to work within a team setting
– Excellent oral and written communication skills
Training and Travel:
-Position requires overseas training for the first 60 days of employment.
-Following training, travel throughout North America up to 50% of the time will be required.
