Sales Representative / Foodservice Position Summary:
– Responsible for generating, developing, and expanding sales for K-12 schools, universities and other institutions by developing relationships and bringing solutions to customers.
-Develop and implement short and long term growth strategies, inclusive of new business targets, expansion within current client base and identify new market expansion opportunities
– Work closely with sales manager to develop sales strategies.
– Professionally execute product presentations based on company and quality standards.
– Answer customers’ questions about products, prices, availability, product uses, and credit terms.
– Recommend products to customers, based on customers’ needs and interests.
– Contact regular and prospective customers to demonstrate products, explain product features, and solicit orders.
– Participate in trade shows, product development meetings and keep current of all product offerings.
– Monitor and analyze competition, in addition to regular market research, to keep up to date on industry trends and market conditions.

Qualifications Summary:
– Associate’s degree in Business Administration or a related field or higher degree desired.
– Minimum of two years experience of progressively more responsible experience in foodservice sales required.
– Prior experience with K-12 schools, university and other institution sales required, culinary background a plus.
– Strong customer focus and highly organized and with effective time management skills.
– Strong consultative selling and negotiating skill-set.
– Experienced at successfully developing and executing tactical sales plans including quotas and account objectives.
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
