Position Title: Senior Sales Manager
Location: Herndon, VA
Industry: Travel
Report to: General Manager
Status: Full Time, Direct Hire

Position Summary:

  • Responsible for implementing effective sales and growth strategies
  • Target and acquire new business accounts across multiple markets
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders at all accounts
  • Manage existing accounts of national as well as global clients
  • Create and implement sales plans to maximize revenue
  • Perform upselling and cross selling on existing accounts
  • Travel as needed to service clients on site
  • Generate business in new sectors including private industry as well as government
  • Network by participating in professional organizations within targeted industries
  • Generate sales plans and reports on a regular basis for review by the General Manager
  • Work closely with sales team members to develop the annual budget
  • Assist with product pricing strategies

Qualifications Summary:

  • Minimum five years sales experience developing new business and managing existing accounts
  • Bachelor’s degree prefered
  • Experience in the travel, service or hospitality industry a plus
  • Highly motivated self starter focused on results
  • Strong communicator with the ability to engage multiple personality types
  • Ability to develop relationships internally and externally with clients
  • Knowledge of CRM software and MS Office Suite
