Fast-paced global firm with a growing Marketing Department is seeking an experienced Social Media professional. This role will lead you on the path to a Social Media Manager role. Social Media Specialist Position Summary:

  • Oversee social media strategy for the company
  • Work with marketing team, business channels, and partners / agencies to help meet marketing objectives
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external / agency partners to ensure brand campaign consistency
  • Manage organic social media campaigns
  • Oversee daily social media content and posts
  • Manage monthly social media editorial calendar keeping weekly content strategies in alignment with overall brand social strategy
  • Assist with growing company’s online presence across social media platforms, including but not limited to; Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest and LinkedIn
  • Engage new and existing audiences by identifying and participating in relevant digital conversations
  • Engage online audiences across various social media platforms
  • Analyze key metrics, adjust strategy as necessary, and compile reports for management showing results
  • Write social media copy / editorial, blogs and web articles
  • Develop relationships with influencers to highlight company’s products and initiatives
  • Stay up to date on current and upcoming trends and innovations in the social media landscape, and communicate these to management for implementation into strategy

Social Media Specialist Requirements Summary:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Communications, Media or related field required
  • Minimum two years professional office experience in social media / digital communications required
  • Understanding of Search Engine Optimization – SEO
  • Web analytics experience
  • Experience writing social media content, blogging, short form, and long form writing
  • Experience posting on company social media platforms to include Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and preferably LinkedIn
  • Ability to successfully produce quality content within competing deadlines
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; copy writing experience desired
