Jones Networking is recruiting for an Accountant with the Washington, DC office of a global Law Firm. This opportunity offers career growth in a fast-paced Accounting Department. Accountant Position Summary:
-Prepare and process journal entries.
-Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
-Analyze and reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
-Compile Firm data for financial surveys.
-Support audit procedures by preparing audit schedules.
-Review fixed asset additions and disposal reports along with corresponding gain/loss impact.
-Resolve reconciling items, work with the AP and  billing team, and participate in providing documentation for the annual audit.

Accountant Qualifications Summary:
-Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
-Internship or work experience in a finance or accounting role.
-Exceptional attention to detail with strong time management skills.
-Strong communication skills to effectively communicate with attorneys, staff, vendors and clients.
-Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines and gain a complete understanding of the General Ledger and its impact on other functions within the Accounting Department and the Firm.
-Effective research and problem solving skills.
-Proficiency with MS Excel.
