Tax Credit Recertification Specialist Position Summary:
- Oversee annual Recertification process for all tenants
- Ensure accuracy of all tenant Recertification documents
- Follow program requirements for tenant rent based on income, number of tenants per unit and Area Median Gross Income (AMGI)
- Determine if relocation to a different unit is necessary or if rent requirements have changed
- Ensure accuracy in reporting to IRS
- Ensure compliance with all HUD guidelines
- Qualify prospective residents by covering all required criteria needed to become a tenant
- Provide administrative support to the Property Manager
Tax Credit Recertification Specialist Qualifications Summary:
- Minimum two years at a Low Income Housing Tax Credit property
- Comprehensive understanding of Recertification process
- Knowledgeable of HUD Fair Housing guidelines
- Certified Occupancy Specialist (COS) certification a plus
- Proficient with MS Office Suite
- Excellent attention to detail and organization
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
