Tax Credit Recertification Specialist Position Summary:

  • Oversee annual Recertification process for all tenants
  • Ensure accuracy of all tenant Recertification documents
  • Follow program requirements for tenant rent based on income, number of tenants per unit and Area Median Gross Income (AMGI)
  • Determine if relocation to a different unit is necessary or if rent requirements have changed
  • Ensure accuracy in reporting to IRS
  • Ensure compliance with all HUD guidelines
  • Qualify prospective residents by covering all required criteria needed to become a tenant
  • Provide administrative support to the Property Manager

 

Tax Credit Recertification Specialist Qualifications Summary:

  • Minimum two years at a Low Income Housing Tax Credit property
  • Comprehensive understanding of Recertification process
  • Knowledgeable of HUD Fair Housing guidelines
  • Certified Occupancy Specialist (COS) certification a plus
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite
  • Excellent attention to detail and organization
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
