Position Title: Vice President of Sales
Location: Herndon, VA

Report to: Senior Vice President
Status: Full Time, Direct Hire

Position Summary for Vice President of Sales:

Responsible for all revenue in assigned markets

Work closely with sales team to identify and develop prospective clients

Develop strategies to strengthen existing client relationships and generate new ones

Assist in closing sales and maintaining client relationships

Identify clients and markets to target for increased sales

Ensure sales goals are met by sales team members

Train and mentor individual members of sales team

Network within industry to identify stakeholders and promote the brand

Coordinate with the marketing department on the creation of sales and marketing material

Attend trade shows and public relations events

Develop sales plans for team as a whole as well as individual members

Provide regular updates to senior management

Assist with development and implementation of annual budget

Conduct and oversee weekly sales meetings

Interview and hire new sales team members

Conduct annual reviews of sales team members

Qualifications Summary for Vice President of Sales:

Minimum five years experience leading a sales team

Experience building, developing, and managing a sales team

Bachelor’s degree preferred

Sales management training a plus

Ability to travel 25% of the time

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

Experience using and knowledge of sales automation software

Skilled in delivery of sales presentations

Experience selling to C-Suite executives

Ability to negotiate and close sales

Experience with business to business sales as well as business to consumer sales
