Jones Networking is recruiting for a Chief Financial Officer to join a Firm in Raleigh, NC. The Firm offers a competitive salary, health insurance, 401k plan, generous PTO and wellness programs.

Position Summary for the Chief Financial Officer:
 Develop and maintain financial models, forecasts, and budgets to guide business decisions.
– Analyze financial data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
– Provide strategic recommendations to optimize financial performance and support growth initiatives.
– Oversee accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
– Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulatory requirements (i.e. business licensure by jurisdiction, registration of business assets with relevant government entities, etc.)
– Applied knowledge of GAAP principles and ability to comply with those in day-to-day operations.
– Familiarity with local, state, and federal tax law and procedure and ability to consult with and seek advice from retained advisors (i.e. CPAs, business law attorneys, etc.)
– Oversee all law firm accounting requirements as dictated by applicable State Bar rules and coordinates with the Managing Partner to ensure compliance.
– Coordinate external audits and manage relationships with auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities. Work with the Managing Partner to monitor cash flow projections and manage liquidity to meet short-term and long-term financial obligations.
– Implement effective cash management strategies to optimize working capital and minimize financial risks.
– Evaluate financing options and negotiate terms with lenders to support capital needs.
– Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks.
– Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
– Develop contingency plans and scenario analyses to address potential threats to financial stability.
– Collaborate with senior management to develop strategic plans and long-term financial objectives.
– Provide financial analysis and insights to support business initiatives, investments, and acquisitions.
– Evaluate capital allocation decisions and assess the financial impact of strategic opportunities.
– Oversee accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
– Evaluate and implement financial systems and software to improve efficiency and accuracy.
– Streamline financial processes and workflows to enhance productivity and scalability.
– Lead and mentor the finance team, providing guidance, feedback, and professional development opportunities.
– Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, integrity, and continuous improvement within the finance department.
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive alignment and achieve business objectives.
– Travel may be required.

Qualifications Summary for the Chief Financial Officer:
– Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or CPA a plus.
– Proven experience as a CFO, VP of Finance, or senior finance executive in a small to mid-sized company.
– Strong financial, analytical, and business acumen.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
– Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of driving financial improvements and results and identifying opportunities for synergy.
– Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders and foster collaborative partnerships.
– Ability to instruct, direct, mentor, and evaluate team members; direct and motivate others; communicate effectively and use judgment, tact and discretion; quickly assimilate oral and written data, to analyze facts and draw logical conclusions; maintain collaborative client/team member relations.
– Must be able to exercise extensive independent judgment to make decisions in carrying out assignments that have substantial impact on the company.
– Proficiency in financial analysis tools, accounting systems, and Microsoft Excel.

– Knowledge of regulatory compliance, financial reporting standards, and best practices in corporate governance.
