Civil Engineer Position Description:
-The Civil Engineer is responsible for interacting with various internal team members, OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturing) and contractors to advance projects from process concept to construction and completion. This role will offer sound expert technical consultation in every endeavor.
-Prepare plan sets using AutoCAD Civil3D or AutoCAD LT Platforms.
-Prepare and design improvement plans for a wide range of projects.
-Prepare and modify construction documents, reports, specifications and designs for projects.
-Analyze maps, reports & drawings; test results for design projects.
-Assist with post design construction support services to respond to RFI’s, submittal reviews, as-built preparation, and field coordination & observations.
-Work alongside office staff and management to successfully complete projects within the established budgets and deadlines.
-Control overall project cost, scope, schedule, and quality of work.
-Ensure all standards and requirements are met in the area of health and safety by reviewing, communicating and managing project health and safety plans.
-Carry out feasibility studies, option studies, infrastructure assessments and design calculations.
-Organize surveys and site investigations to communicate/liaise with a range of customers, third parties and authorities.
-Research current, alternative or new cost-reducing manufacturing processes that meet customer and regulatory requirements.
-Ensure all work complies with Design Risk Assessments, health & safety and environmental requirements.

Civil Engineer Qualifications Summary:
-Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering required.
-Eligibility for (or in possession of) an EIT, Engineer-In-Training Certification.
-Minimum four years of full-time engineering and construction experience.
-Experience working with site design, structural design, utility, and drainage.
-Proficiency in CAD / Design software: Microstation and/or AutoCAD/Civil 3D.
-Experience with the development of Life Cycle Inventories.
-Experience with developing and/or updating sustainability programs.
-Knowledge of food safety requirements a plus.
-Knowledge of local city, county and state land use processes and regulations.
