Jones Networking is recruiting for a Senior Cost Analyst to join the corporate office of a food manufacturing company. The Sr Cost Analyst will monitor per-determined financial metrics and accounting activities of the different production lines and SKUs. This role is responsible for monitoring line and plant efficiencies, direct & indirect costs vs. throughput and weekly reporting of measurable Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Sr. Cost Analyst Position Summary:
-Monitor plant’s results vs budget, local cost metrics trends, and all related activities.
-Quantify and measure financial returns vs. production forecast.
-Collaborate with the local Accounting / Finance department on daily reports.
-Provide guidance to Plant Managers and Supervisors on cost targets and standards to meet optimal financial results.
-Monitor and analyze daily production yield, down-time & labor and report weekly on attainment and KPIs with trends.
-Monitor, analyze, and report period over period actual results against the budget.
-Monitor capacity week over week vs. efficiency / automation opportunities.
-Work closely with operations and warehousing leadership to ensure that all financial transactions and reporting are complete, accurate and timely:
-Support and lead the coordination of all internal and external financial and operational audits and address any audit findings with plant, warehousing and corporate leadership.
-Perform frequent walk-throughs of local manufacturing site with Plant Leadership to address production and costing issues and efficiency improvements.
-Document short-term and long-term department goals and objectives in the form of Standard Operating Procedures. (SOPs)

Qualifications Summary:
-Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
-Minimum four years of food manufacturing or related manufacturing / production experience.
-A deep understanding of production functional areas within operations and indirect costs.
-A strong understanding of Operations, Planning and Forecasting as it relates to a Company’s P&L.
-Strong verbal, written and analytical skills.
-Supervisory experience preferred.
-Experience in NetSuite and/or Plex preferred.
