Accounting Administrator

Jones Networking is recruiting for Accounting Administrator to join a leading Personal Injury Law Firm in Charlotte, NC. The Accounting Administrator will be responsible for the Settlement Department’s work product, production and quality. This individual monitors, coaches and audits all settlement staff to ensure that they are processing files that have settled, accurately and in a timely manner. This role requires leadership skills, strong math or accounting background, and a drive and focus on ensuring clients receive their settlements as quickly as possible without sacrificing quality. Responsibilities Summary of the Accounting Administrator:
– Audit settlement worksheets for accuracy and detail
– Identify proper parties to be paid from client settlement proceeds
– Assist with the onboarding and training new employees to the settlement team
– Aid in the oversight, management, and evaluation of assigned staff members
– Review, update, and consolidate settlement spreadsheets daily
– Record incoming settlement checks and issue client checks for disbursal appointments
– Prepare files for settlement appointments
– Schedule settlement appointments between clients and attorneys
– Follow up with insurance companies to ensure timely receipt of settlement checks
– Return signed settlement releases to insurers
– Review settlement information with the firm’s Chief Operating Officer
– Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications Summary of the Accounting Administrator:
– Associate’s Degree required; Bachelor’s Degree in business related field strongly preferred
– Two years of office experience in a legal, medical or insurance setting required
– Prior experience with case management and/or client relationship software preferred
– Notary public, bilingual fluency, and familiarity with subrogation liens are strong positives
– Ability to prioritize responsibilities and multi-task within a fast-paced environment
– A high attention to detail that emphasizes the importance of accuracy and efficiency
– Persistence in following up with attorneys and adjusters to resolve files expeditiously
– Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and able to quickly learn various software programs
