Position Summary:
-Perform basic legal and non-legal research using online and print resources, including obtaining cases, court filings, statutes, regulations, and news.
-Assist attorneys, law clerks, paralegals, and staff in all offices with research support and strategies.
-Collaborate with senior library staff regarding coordination and performance of library research services across all offices.
-Provide training assistance in using resources to attorneys, law clerks, paralegals, and support staff.
-Perform interlibrary loan (ILL) and document delivery tasks for lawyers and staff in all offices.
-Coordinate with the Research Manager to implement improvements to research services.
-Assist with projects to increase the accessibility, utilization, and discovery of research resources.
-Utilize Firm workflow software to track and manage research projects.
-Stay current on technological developments relating to online research and applications and best practices relevant to providing highly responsive research services. |

Qualifications Summary:
-Bachelor’s Degree required. MLS or JD highly desired.
-Experience as a research librarian in an Am Law 200 Firm.
-Advanced proficiency in Westlaw, Lexis and other online library resources.
-Strong ability to develop effective working relationships with others.
-Ability to analyze and synthesize information from a variety of sources, and apply critical and creative thinking to develop solutions to complex problems.
-Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, and ability to work well under deadlines.
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. |
