Jones Networking is recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join a team with a Non-Profit Organization in the Marriottsville, Maryland area. This position reports directly to the Director of Operations.
Maintenance Supervisor Job Responsibilities:
– Provide training, work direction to maintenance staff
– Develop a team environment with maintenance staff
– Coordinate daily maintenance requests
– Complete work orders in a timely manner
– Regularly inspect property for safety and security which includes broken fences, wiring, pot-holes, sewer line breaks, ground and trip hazards, and non-working lights
– Works with maintenance staff to ensure resident maintenance issues are dealt with in a timely manner
– Oversee and inspect any work performed by maintenance staff as well as outside contractors
– Inspect and maintain tools to ensure they are in good working condition
– Maintain records for preventative maintenance or service requests for guest rooms
– Assist in the purchasing, installation, maintenance to repair of any electrical wiring and fixtures, perform repairs to carpets, cabinets, clocks, lighting as well as audiovisual equipment system
– Be able to estimate any costs of labor and materials for work orders and obtain any competitive prices for equipment and supplies as needed
– Be able to manage maintenance schedule for both normal operation hours and on call hours. Ensure that there is 24/7 coverage.
– Be able to work with the Housekeeping Supervisor to make sure maintenance staff is available to support staffing needs for any upcoming events
– Be able to perform maintenance tasks personally as well as delegate to other maintenance staff
Maintenance Supervisor Qualifications Summary:
– High School Diploma or GED
– Minimum of five years of experience in property maintenance, 3 of which in a supervisory role
– Be available on-call to assist with after hours issues, within rotating schedule with other members of the maintenance staff
– Must be knowledgeable and skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, mechanical equipment, measuring devices as well as user-moved aids
– The ability to diagnose and perform minor and routine maintenance and repairs
– Be able to apply logical thinking to define problems, collect data, draw conclusions, and initiate a proper course of action
Approximately $34.00 – $36.00/hour, depending on experience.
