Jones Networking is recruiting for a Personal Injury Attorney to join a highly respected law firm in Wilmington, NC. This attorney will manage a diverse and sophisticated caseload involving complex personal injury matters, institutional abuse claims, mass tort litigation, data breach class actions, toxic torts, and business litigation. Responsibilities of the Personal Injury Attorney:
– Manage a diverse caseload of complex tort litigation matters from intake through resolution, including institutional child sexual abuse claims, first-party insurance disputes, nursing home negligence cases, data breach class actions, environmental litigation, motor vehicle accidents, and other catastrophic and personal injury matters.
– Conduct extensive legal research and draft high-quality pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents for matters pending in both state and federal courts.
– Collaborate closely with partners, associates, and co-counsel on large, complex litigation involving multiple plaintiffs, defendants, and related actions across jurisdictions.
– Conduct and defend in-person and virtual depositions of parties, fact witnesses, and experts, while effectively preparing clients and witnesses for testimony.
– Handle all aspects of motion practice, including legal research, drafting and filing motions and supporting documents, preparing exhibits, ensuring compliance with applicable local rules, and presenting oral arguments before the court.

Qualifications of the Personal Injury Attorney:
– Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
– Active membership in good standing with the North Carolina State Bar.
– Prior experience in plaintiff or defense litigation, particularly in personal injury or other complex civil litigation.
– Experience handling matters in both state and federal courts is preferred.
– Proficiency with legal research platforms and other legal technology tools.
– Ability to independently manage a caseload while working collaboratively with paralegals and other members of the legal team.
– Exceptional legal writing, analytical, proofreading, and editing skills, with a strong attention to detail.
– Proven ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, work effectively under pressure, and maintain strict confidentiality.
– Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, attorneys, court personnel, and staff at all levels.
– Demonstrated professionalism, sound judgment, integrity, discretion, and a commitment to providing outstanding client service.
