Financial Analyst / Administrator
Remote based out of California
Responsibilities of the Financial Analyst / Administrator:
– Reconcile accounts and bookkeeping ledgers in QuickBooks.
– Reconcile accounts and bookkeeping ledgers in QuickBooks.
– Update daily transaction records and assist with payroll administration.
– Track and facilitate payments for employee benefits.
– Perform financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking.
– Analyze financial data and help create financial models for decision support.
– Report on financial performance and prepare for regular leadership reviews.
– Analyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements.
– Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.
– Recommend actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses; study proposed changes in methods and materials.
– Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and dashboards.
– Perform market research, data mining, business intelligence, and valuation comps.
– Maintain a strong financial analysis foundation creating forecasts and models.
– Evaluate and optimize financial controls and procedures.
– Recommend actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses; study proposed changes in methods and materials.
– Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and dashboards.
– Perform market research, data mining, business intelligence, and valuation comps.
– Maintain a strong financial analysis foundation creating forecasts and models.
– Evaluate and optimize financial controls and procedures.
– Manage accounts receivable and payable, as well as expenses.
– Maintain records of invoices and tax payments, as well as review and process reimbursements.
– Prepare income statements, balance sheets, cash flow reports and budgets.
– Identify financial liabilities and perform risk analysis on liquidity and cash flow.
– Resolve account discrepancies and perform account reconciliations.
– Prepare financial reports, including projected returns on investment and growth rates.
– Keep abreast of regulatory requirements and best practices in financial administration.
Qualifications of the Financial Analyst / Administrator:
– CPA required
– Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or other business-related discipline required
– At least 2-5+ years of experience in accounting role
– At least 2+ years of experience with QuickBooks
– Thorough knowledge of GAAP and modified GAAP
– Ability to create dashboards and customized reporting with Power BI
– Experience in legal services or law firm highly preferred
– Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
– Advanced knowledge of Excel formulas and functions
– Ability to work independently and proactively while functioning as part of a team
– Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills
– Highly organized, attention to detail, and critical thinking skills required
– Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to effectively communicate with investors, clients and all levels of the team
