Responsibilities of the Personal Injury Associate Attorney:
– Acting as an assertive advocate for the Firm’s clients, you would be joining the Litigation Team to handle auto liability, premises liability, and commercial claims.

– Draft lawsuits, draft and respond to discovery; take depositions, and conduct mediations and trials.
– Work closely within the Litigation Team and Senior Managing Attorneys for Civil Litigation and Camp Lejeune clients.
– Determine case strategies and solutions to serve client’s needs after analysis.
– Provide legal counsel to clients by analyzing their needs and determining a proper course of action.
– Get the appropriate legal documents ready for clients, such as briefs, motions, and pleadings, as well as correspondence.
– Perform research, draft briefs, pleadings, and motions.
– Argue motions in court on behalf of clients during legal proceedings.

Requirements of the Personal Injury Associate Attorney:
– At least 5+ years of plaintiff or defense personal injury experience.
– Juris Doctor from an ABA accredited law school.
– North Carolina State Bar admission.

– Proficiency in writing, research, and negotiation
– Communication, problem-solving, decision-making, interpersonal, and public speaking skills required
– Must be an active member of your local bar association.
– Advanced computer skills working with legal research programs (Westlaw and Lexis) required
– Ability to work autonomously with case load and support paralegals
