Jones Networking is recruiting for a Payroll Specialist to join a large Financial Services Firm in Reston, VA. This role is responsible for all phases of the semi-monthly, monthly, and quarterly commission and incentive cycles for two entities, ensuring commissions, bonuses, and incentives are processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations. Payroll & Commissions Specialist Position Summary:
-Ensure accurate and timely processing of semi-monthly and monthly sales commissions.
-Calculate semi-monthly commissions, incentives, and other quarterly bonuses / commissions for Sales Account Executives, Sales Management, Operations, Support Staff and Management.
-Work with the Human Resources, Accounting, and Business Intelligence teams to process accurate data as it relates to payroll and commission advances for the Sales Team.
-Calculate monthly commission advances, process monthly commission draw, upload to payroll system, and work with the Human Resources team to ensure accurate record keeping for audit purposes.
-Track home closings and ensure accurate and timely inclusion into semi-
monthly and monthly employee commissions.
-Administer commissions calculation software (QCommissions) to process commission payouts and interact with commissioned staff regarding any questions and data issues.
-Submit commissions and variable pay to Payroll on a semi-monthly, monthly, and quarterly basis to adhere to payroll deadlines.
-Perform monthly reporting to Sales Management regarding sales draw balances.
-Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports of commission and incentive transactions.
-Acts as a back-up for the payroll processing function.
Qualifications Summary:
-Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance preferred.
-Prefer one to three years experience in payroll, accounting, or finance.
-High level of confidentiality, professionalism and discretion.
-Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
-Strong mathematical skills.
-Meticulous attention to detail with solid analytical and critical thinking skills.
