Expanding CPA Firm in Rockville, MD is seeking an experienced Audit Manager to work with existing clients and develop new business. Audit Manager Position Summary:
-Perform client audit, review, and compilation engagements including planning, performing and completing financial audits
-Responsible for overall project management, providing independent and professional guidance to team members on all steps of the audit process
-Identify significant audit findings, make recommendations, and resolve complex audit issues
-Maintain contact with clients throughout the year remaining knowledgeable and up to date on all aspects of Firm’s business
-Ensure that financial statements, reviews, and other deliverables are prepared in accordance with professional and Firm standards
-Prepare client engagement budgets
-Supervise staff members and delegate work effectively
-Maintain knowledge of economic and political trends affecting audit procedures
-Develop analytical opinions, findings, and recommendations
-Assist in the training of audit staff members

Audit Manager Qualifications Summary:
-Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required, Master’s Degree in Accounting preferred
-Certified Public Accountant (CPA) License required
-Knowledge of advanced accounting and tax principles
-Knowledge of CCH ProSystem software a plus
-Desire to work in a collaborative environment
-Strong attention to detail and accuracy of work
-Ability to multi-task and manage competing deadlines
-Strong verbal and written communication skills
-Excellent interpersonal skills
