Jones Networking is recruiting for a CFO to join a mortgage company based in Reston, VA. Chief Financial Officer Position Summary:
-Direct the organization’s financial planning and accounting practices as well as its relationship with lending institutions, investors, and the financial community.
-Oversee and direct treasury, budgeting, audit, accounting, purchasing, real estate, contract servicing, long range forecasting, capital markets, servicing, and insurance activities for the organization.
-Direct the Corporate Controller in providing and directing procedures and computer application systems necessary to maintain proper records and to afford adequate accounting controls and services.
-Direct the capital markets department in all pricing and related policies.
-Direct the servicing department and SubServicer in all servicing-related activities.
-Appraise the organization’s financial position, potential operational risks & opportunities and issue periodic financial and management reports on the organization’s financial stability, liquidity, and growth.
-Prepare reports which summarize and forecast company business activities and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present and expected operations.
-Direct and coordinate the establishment of budget and forecasting programs.
-Establish and maintain relations with banks, investors, warehouse lines, and other financial institutions.
-Evaluate and recommend business partnering opportunities.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
-Oversee the Corporate Controller who is responsible for the Accounting staff, Secondary Marketing Manager who is responsible for all capital markets activities, and Servicing Manager who is responsible for all servicing activities.
-Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units.
-Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
-Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving issues.

CFO Qualifications Summary:
-Master’s degree (CPA, M.B.A.) preferred.
-Ten+ years related experience.
-5+ years supervisory/managerial experience.
-Minimum eight years experience in residential home financing is required.
-Ability to successfully work with a diverse group of people at all career levels.
-Ability to engage people to drive results and also to hold people accountable for results.
-Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
-Experience with AMB – Accounting for Mortgage Bankers is a plus.
