Position Title: Civil Engineering Project Manager
Reports to: Chief Executive Officer
Location: Alexandria, VA
Industry: Infrastructure / Construction / Civil Engineering
Supervises: Field and Office Staff
Position Summary:
- Responsible for the start-up and mobilization of new projects including locating a field office, hiring new staff and securing all the resources necessary to execute services (equipment, tools, materials and new subcontractor partners)
- Responsible for the successful performance and execution of contracts
- Accomplish the following objectives through the field management team: Safety / Risk Management, Client Satisfaction, Financial Performance, Employee Engagement and Operational Excellence
- Promote and implement company support programs
- Represent the organization in the marketplace and assist with building company’s reputation and brand
- Build a network of partnerships with stakeholders in the business including clients, vendors, and subcontractors
- Track industry trends and best practices
- Train, develop and ensure the overall success of the estimating department
Qualifications Summary:
- Project Management / Construction experience to include heavy civil engineering / infrastructure experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field
- Working experience with the VA Department of Transportation
- Minimum five years industry experience
- Exceptional leadership skills
- Effectively manage tasks, deadlines and staff
- Ability to implement innovative processes within a fast-paced environment
- Strong collaboration skills
