Jones Networking is recruiting for a Food Process Engineer to join a premium food manufacturing facility in San Antonio, TX. This role is responsible for working on future process lines and optimizing new equipment and processes installed at current food plants. Food Process Engineer Position Summary:
-Research innovative processes and equipment using conventional methods and also visiting professional equipment shows and vendors both in North America and
in Europe.
-Request quotes from vendors and verify understanding and definition of the
project.
-Share all necessary documentation with equipment procurement team.
-Remain in close contact with the selected vendor during project, acting as the company’s point of contact.
-Upon installing new processes or equipment, the Food Process Engineer will
facilitate bridging the gap between engineering phase and operation.
-Identify bottlenecks or major improvement needs into current plants and suggest action plan for future remodeling including timing, investment level and ROI.
-Ability to travel to the different plants, suppliers and equipment shows
including overseas.
Qualifications Summary:
-Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Food Engineering or a related field.
-Minimum 2+ years experience in a Food Processing facility.
-Strong knowledge of food safety requirements.
-An interest in innovation, food processing and food products.
-Strong Office 365 skills. SharePoint experience is a plus.
-Ability to communicate easily with cross functional teams
