IP Foreign Patent Prosecution Paralegal Position Summary:
-Manage foreign patent applications
-Communicate with clients and foreign associates regarding patent applications
-Prepare conversion deadline letters to client and prepare cost estimates
-Prepare PCT International Applications and process PCT Forms from WIPO
-Prepare National Applications and PCT National Phase applications for forwarding to Foreign Associates
-Monitor applications and report to clients
-Prepare formality documents to be filed with Foreign Patent Offices
-Process Letters Patent documents and notify clients
-Monitor client patent renewal deadlines ensuring all are paid timely|
-Coordinate with annuity services to monitor and maintain timely payments for the renewal of client patents
IP Foreign Patent Prosecution Paralegal Qualifications Summary:
-Minimum six years of IP foreign filing experience
-Thorough knowledge of PCT and foreign patent rules and procedures, including processes and procedures for interacting with clients and foreign law firms to advance foreign patent applications
-Experience researching IP status and history in PTO databases
-Experience with document management systems
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
-Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing deadlines
