Food QC Technician Position Description:
-Conduct inspections of all food production areas
-Participate in maintaining sample retention library for frozen and refrigerated products
-Perform finished product weight checks and ATP swabbing
-Ensure proper storage procedures are followed (allergens, proper closure, etc)
-Monitor GMPs and “use by dates”
-Maintain records of temperature checks
-Conduct verification checks of labels on packaging lines to ensure that they are correct
-Comply and promote all company and safety policies and procedures
Qualifications Summary:
-Experience in the food production / manufacturing industry preferred or food handling / cooking experience in a restaurant required
-Exposure to USDA food industry production audits, good manufacturing practices, and other food safety standards a plus
-ServSafe Training an asset
-Excellent attention to detail
-Ability to work on the production floor throughout shift
