Responsibilities of the Litigation Paralegal / Personal Injury:
– Interview clients
– Communicate updates to clients regarding their case
– Monitor client’s medical treatment
– Review medical records and prepare medical chronologies
– Draft discovery requests and responses
– Document review and production
– Legal research and e-filing
– Deposition summaries
– Preparation of exhibits and trial notebooks
– Trial support
– Other duties assigned on an as-needed basis
Qualifications of the Litigation Paralegal / Personal Injury:
– Associate’s degree, with a preference in paralegal studies, preferably from an ABA-approved program
– Minimum 3+ years of litigation personal injury experience in a law office / legal setting
– Superb organizational skills
– Proficiency working with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe
– Excellent written and verbal communication
– E-filing (Pacer CM/ECF; state court or Business Court – a plus)
– Ability to demonstrate project management and organizational skills, including the ability to work independently on projects with minimal supervision
