Jones Networking is recruiting for an experienced Quality Control Underwriter to join a Residential Mortgage Lending Firm in Reston, VA. QC Underwriter Position Summary:
-Responsible for auditing Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, VA, USDA, and Non-Agency loans by reviewing credit, capacity, compliance, and collateral characteristics of the loan file to ensure they meet investor quality standards.
-Perform a pre-funding quality control review of loans.
-Monitor the progress of implementation of action plans based on quality control findings and results.
-Communicate identified defects effectively to internal and external counterparties.
-Monitor QC project pipelines and analyze reports to ensure deadlines are met.
-Analyze various reports and data to identify patterns of deficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
Qualifications Summary:
-3+ years of recent Quality Control and Underwriting experience.
-Demonstrated understanding of mortgage lending operations and industry, specifically how it relates to Quality Control.
-Knowledge of FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA, and USDA guidelines and Federal regulatory guidelines and procedures as well as TRID knowledge.
-Basic knowledge of fraud detection
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders
-Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office products. (Excel, Word, etc.)
