Jones Networking is recruiting for a Field Electrical Service Technician to join a global machinery company that is a leader in high-performance weaving machinery and textile technology. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on electronics expertise, especially at the component level. You’ll be the on-site technical expert supporting customers throughout the US, troubleshooting issues directly in the field, and repairing complex electronic systems used in industrial weaving machinery.. Field Electrical Service Technician Responsibilities:
– Travel to customer sites to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair weaving machinery and related electronic systems
– Perform electronic circuit board repair, including de-soldering faulty components and soldering/installing replacements
– Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation to support accurate field diagnostics
– Diagnose and repair motors, drives, sensors, power supplies, and control systems
– Conduct preventative maintenance and ensure machinery runs efficiently and safely
– Document all diagnostics, repairs, and parts used during service calls
– Provide professional on-site customer support, training, and guidance
– Coordinate with the service team and engineering staff to ensure high-quality technical solutions
– Maintain company tools, equipment, and service vehicle in excellent condition
Field Electrical Service Technician Requirements:
– Strong, hands-on experience in electronic circuit board repair (component-level)
-Must be able to identify faulty electronic components
– Experience using multimeters, oscilloscopes, soldering stations, and other diagnostic tools
– Must be proficient with soldering/de-soldering
– Must understand board-level diagnostics
– Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings
– Experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining motors and electronic control systems
– Previous experience working with industrial machinery, manufacturing equipment, or electronic systems
– Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in the field
– Clear communication and customer service skills
– Ability to travel (typically 40%)
