Responsibilities of the Personal Injury Attorney:
– Manage motor vehicle accident cases from intake through settlement

– Serve as the primary legal decision-maker and client point of contact
– Handle a caseload of approximately 140–200 MVA cases
– Evaluate liability, damages, coverage, and risk throughout the case lifecycle
– Develop and execute case strategies aligned with firm standards and ethical requirements
– Draft and approve demands, settlement communications, and releases
– Lead settlement negotiations to maximize client outcomes while ensuring compliance
– Communicate proactively and empathetically with clients regarding case status and expectations
– Personally handle strategy discussions, settlement negotiations, and escalated issues
– Direct and support paralegals and legal assistants on assigned cases
– Collaborate with intake, medical, and operations teams to maintain case momentum
– Monitor treatment progress, records collection, and demand timing
– Identify and resolve stalled cases to maintain case velocity
– Support accurate settlement allocation and trust compliance
– Contribute to firm growth through efficient execution, quality outcomes, and client satisfaction
– Participate in training, system adoption, and process improvement initiatives
– Remain flexible to support additional practice areas as the firm grows
Requirements of the Personal Injury Attorney:
– Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
– Active license to practice law in good standing in South Carolina
– 3-7 years of experience handling motor vehicle accident or personal injury cases
– Demonstrated ability to independently manage cases from intake through settlement
– Strong knowledge of liability analysis, damages evaluation, insurance coverage, and settlement strategy
– Proven negotiation skills with a track record of ethical, client-focused outcomes
– Experience managing a high-volume caseload in a fast-paced environment
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong client-service mindset
– Ability to provide direction and oversight to paralegals and legal assistants
– Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through
– Comfort using case management systems and legal technology tools
– High level of professionalism, judgment, and ethical integrity
