Jones Networking is recruiting for a Landlord-Tenant Attorney to join a growing law firm in Franklin, TN. This role focuses on landlord-tenant matters, including evictions, lease enforcement, and related litigation, representing primarily landlord clients.

Responsibilities of the Landlord-Tenant Attorney:
– Provide direct client interaction with frequent courtroom appearances in landlord-tenant matters
– Represent clients in court throughout Tennessee, primarily in eviction and possession proceedings
– Prepare, draft, and file legal documents related to evictions, lease disputes, and property management matters
– Conduct legal research and analysis specific to landlord-tenant law
– Advise clients on legal rights, obligations, and strategies related to leasing, evictions, and compliance
– Negotiate settlements and resolve disputes between landlords and tenants
– Travel to court multiple times per week
– Maintain compliance with all applicable housing laws, regulations, and court procedures

Requirements of the Landlord-Tenant Attorney:
– Juris Doctor (JD) required
– Licensed to practice law in Tennessee
– Experience in landlord-tenant law, evictions, or real estate litigation preferred
– Admission to the Federal District Courts of Tennessee is a plus
– Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
– 2–5+ years of relevant practice experience preferred
– Willingness to travel for court appearances
– Ability to work independently with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
– Self-motivated, organized, and flexible to support firm needs as required
