Human Resources Manager

Jones Networking is recruiting for a Human Resources Manager to join a Law Firm in Charlotte, NC. This position is responsible for the overall organizational development, coordination and execution of the human resources function. In this key role, you will help drive and facilitate organizational change, guide and manage HR services, policies and programs for the firm. Responsibilities of the Human Resources Manager:
– Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
– Maintain knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and ensure firm’s compliance with federal, state and local employment regulations.
– Continually review and make recommendations for improvement of the organization’s policies, procedures and practices on personnel matters.
– Communicate changes in the firm’s personnel policies and procedures and ensure fair and consistent application throughout the firm.
– Oversee compensation and benefits plan administration.
– Manage the performance management process.
– Continually keep a pulse on staffing needs.
– Consult with legal counsel on personnel matters, as appropriate.
– Supervise and develop HR department staff.
Qualifications Summary of the Human Resources Manager:
– Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field required.
– Minimum of 7 years exempt-level Human Resources experience. – PHR or SPHR and/or SHRM-SCP certification is recommended.
– HR experience within a law firm is highly desirable.
– Experience in organizational development and change management.
– Outstanding communication and problem-solving skills.
– Identify HR problems and provide possible solutions as well.
– High degree of initiative and follow-through to this role.
– Experience with wellness, diversity, and corporate culture programs.
– Excellent oral and written communication skills.
– Assertive, self-starter with a positive attitude and an eye for continuous development.
– Ability to prioritize job responsibilities and work in an ever-changing, fast-paced environment.
– Experience managing HRIS & Performance Management applications.
