Jones Networking is recruiting for a Human Resources Manager to join a Financial Services Firm in Reston, VA. HR Manager Position Summary:
-Provide expertise and hands-on support in multiple HR areas, including workforce planning, recruiting, on boarding, performance management, and change management.
-Administer policies & procedures as well as act as the main communication line for management and department heads regarding policies, procedures, programs, and general HR information.
-Ensure compliance with EEO, ADA, FMLA, ERISA, and other applicable federal & state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards, and guidelines.
-Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting HR functions and ensure policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance across all states.
-Handle all reports and communication related to FMLA, employee leaves, ACA, EEO-1, unemployment, employee statistics, and other government reporting, including resolving claims.
-Partner with the Payroll & Benefits team to ensure proper checks & balances are in place; review semi-monthly pre-process payroll for accuracy prior to payroll submission.
-Oversee management & maintenance of company Human Resource systems. (HRIS & ATS)
-Actively monitor career pages on job boards and social media outlets.
-Oversee the maintenance of personnel records, regularly audit the processing of personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews and terminations.
-Lead the organizational training efforts across all company functions; oversee & facilitate training of managers related to recruitment, talent management, safety, harassment, cyber security, and other policies & programs.
-Conduct new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals.
-This role will supervise an HR Assistant.
Qualifications Summary:
-Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development / Leadership Management or related field.
-Minimum five years of recent experience in Human Resources management; including full life cycle recruiting, training, compensation, regulatory awareness & responses, and employee relations.
-Understanding of multi-state HR laws, including audit & payroll requirements.
-Strong focus on time management, process improvement, and achieving results.
-Previous experience in the administration of a 401(k) plan highly preferred.
-PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP Certification.
-Understanding of security requirements to protect employees’ personal and other data.
-Advanced level of proficiency in HRIS systems and knowledge of fully integrated ATS, Background, Onboarding, and Payroll systems.
