Legal Project Manager

Jones Networking is recruiting for a Legal Project Manager to join the Contracts, Compliance, and Commercial Services Division of an International Legal Services Firm. This position is responsible for managing projects related to the lifecycle of contracts, including contract review, abstraction, contract drafting and contract negotiation. Position Summary for the Legal Project Manager:
– Manage the entire lifecycle of contracts projects.
– Specific tasks will be tied to projects but could include: review and abstraction of contract terms, contract drafting, and contract negotiation.
– Lead implementation of contracts projects, including drafting and negotiating SOWs with the Client, creating project plans for each project which include effort estimation, resource plans, costs, and etcetera.
– Communicate with internal and external stakeholders about project progress as well as risks, issues, and mitigation plans.
– Manage and mentor global teams of attorneys and paralegals (including training, ensuring that team meets KPIs/SLAs, acting as an escalation point for day to day questions).
– Identify and implement contracting process improvement measures.
– Effectively communicate with Client stakeholders and serve as an escalation point for client questions.
– Track and report on performance data such as turnaround time, volumes, CSAT, quality checks and KPIs/SLAs.
– Perform quality checks on outputs from the team and ensure that processes are being followed.
– Perform other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications Summary for the Legal Project Manager:
– JD preferred, contracting and legal project management experience required.
– Six Sigma, PMP, PRINCE2, CLM or other professional Project Management certification and training is a plus.
– 5+ years of commercial contracting experience with a minimum of 3 years of project management experience, preferably legal project management.
– Must have 5+ years of contract experience.
– Must have 3+ years of project management experience with legal project management experience .
– Must have client-facing experience.
– Must have experience with people management and training.
– Previous experience reviewing, drafting, or negotiating NDAs, Statements of Work, Amendments, Master Agreements and other commercial contract types a plus.
– Previous experience mentoring junior attorneys in drafting contracts and providing feedback to improve drafting quality.
– Must have experience reporting metrics and performance data.
– Excellent analytical, writing, and oral communication skills.
– Must be able to quickly process and analyze information to make decisions and solve problems.
– Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint is required.
– Proficiency in CLM and PowerBI is a plus.
– Possession of an outstanding customer service attitude.
– Exceptional attention to detail.
Salary and Benefits Summary for the Legal Project Manager:
– Salary is commensurate with experience; approximately 70,000 – 90,000 annually.
