Jones Networking is recruiting for a Legal Research Librarian to join the Washington, DC or New York office of an international Law Firm. | Position Summary: -Performs complex legal and non-legal research using online and print resources. -Assists attorneys, law clerks, paralegals, and staff in all offices with research support and strategies. -Collaborates with senior library staff regarding coordination and performance of library research services across all offices. -Provides training assistance in using electronic resources to attorneys, law clerks, paralegals, and support staff. -Supports and develops the library’s Intranet resources for all Firm offices including development of guides to the library’s collection and subject bibliographies on topics of current interest. -Assists with projects to increase the accessibility, utilization, and discovery of research resources. -Utilizes Firm workflow software to track and manage research projects. -Stays current on technological developments relating to online research and applications and best practices relevant to providing highly responsive research services. |

| Qualifications Summary: -Bachelor’s Degree required. Master’s degree in Library Science or JD from an accredited law school highly desired. -Minimum three years work experience as a research librarian in a Law Firm; preferably an Am Law 100/200 Firm. -Advanced proficiency in Westlaw, Lexis, Intelligize, CIQ, FactSet, and other library online resources. -Strong ability to develop effective working relationships with others. -Ability to analyze and synthesize information from a variety of sources, and apply critical and creative thinking to develop solutions to complex problems. -Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, and ability to work well under deadlines. -Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
