Position Title: Oracle DBA
Location: Laurel, MD

Brief Summary:
The Oracle Database Administrator position will administer multiple Oracle databases in Test, Production and COOP environments. The DBA will be responsible for database health and performance; database backups; data ingest support; and ensuring accuracy of COOP site RDBMS software and data and ensure the operational readiness of the Team’s application, data ingest software and database.
Position Summary:
- Experience with providing administration support for Oracle relational database systems (Version 10g and later)
- Database Administration experience in the following:
- Database performance optimization
- Developing/changing database indices
- Redesigning database structure and/or reloading data into a database
- Comfortable working in a managed / hosted Solaris Unix operating environment
- Experience with Oracle PL/SQL programming (Stored Procedures and Triggers)
Qualifications Summary:
- BS in CS, Engineering, or related = 3 years or MS in Engineering or CS = 2 years
- Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) Certification
- Experience with Apache Solr
- Experience with Confluence
- Experience with manual and automated data ingest
- Experience with Weblogic (development and/or administration)
- Experience developing non-database program components (desired)
- Experience with shell scripting
