Position Title: Purchasing Agent
Industry: Kitchen and Bath
Location: Savage, Maryland
Hours: 8:00AM – 5:00PM
Position Summary:
– Responsible for evaluating supplies
– Administers bidding process
– Negotiating and administering contracts with supplies and vendors
– Verify, prepare and forward purchase orders along with verifying receipt of
items and authorizing payment
– Fowarding orders to suppliers
– Monitoring and expediting orders
Qualifications Summary:
– Associates Degree or equivalent in Supply Chain, Finance, Business or Accounting
– Minimum two years purchasing related experience
– Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships
– Proficient in MS Office Suite
– Be able to meet deadlines, multi-tasker, and work well under pressure
– Strong communication skills
– Excellent time management
– Ability to work independently with little supervision
Approximately $40,000 – $50,000/annually, depending on experience.
