Position Title: Senior Sales Manager
Location: Herndon, VA
Industry: Travel
Report to: General Manager
Status: Full Time, Direct Hire
Position Summary:
- Responsible for implementing effective sales and growth strategies
- Target and acquire new business accounts across multiple markets
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders at all accounts
- Manage existing accounts of national as well as global clients
- Create and implement sales plans to maximize revenue
- Perform upselling and cross selling on existing accounts
- Travel as needed to service clients on site
- Generate business in new sectors including private industry as well as government
- Network by participating in professional organizations within targeted industries
- Generate sales plans and reports on a regular basis for review by the General Manager
- Work closely with sales team members to develop the annual budget
- Assist with product pricing strategies
Qualifications Summary:
- Minimum five years sales experience developing new business and managing existing accounts
- Bachelor’s degree prefered
- Experience in the travel, service or hospitality industry a plus
- Highly motivated self starter focused on results
- Strong communicator with the ability to engage multiple personality types
- Ability to develop relationships internally and externally with clients
- Knowledge of CRM software and MS Office Suite
