Jones Networking is recruiting for a Sr Warehouse Manager to support a food manufacturing facility in Alexandria, VA. This role serves as the overall floor manager for daily operations of the warehouse. Senior Warehouse Manager Position Summary:
– Management of warehouse employees (10-15 people) and work to develop a cross functional group to increase efficiencies.
– Manage inventory and maintain regular cycle counts.
– Ensure warehouse organization to maintain efficient operations, safety procedures and general cleanliness.
– Manage warehouse vendors and deliveries to make sure supplies are received accurately.
– Coordinate the receiving and organization of new inventory.
– Serve as the lead motivator of the warehouse team in order to achieve daily, weekly, monthly and annual warehouse goals and objectives.
– Receive and process depot orders from customer service and ensure appropriate inventory levels are available.
– Work with warehouse staff on order fulfillment.
– Assist the Warehouse Manager with shipping confirmations of sales orders to make sure that all orders are confirmed in a reasonable time.
– Inform customer service of any shortages due to production lead time, zero inventory count, as well as work on replacement fulfillment.
– Assist in planning and implementation of department initiatives in collaboration with the Logistics Manager.
– Assist with training new warehouse employees.
Sr Warehouse Manager Qualifications Summary:
– Minimum three years experience working in warehouse operations within a leadership role.
– Minimum one year of warehouse management experience.
– Valid Driver’s License is required.
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. NetSuite experience is a plus.
– Strong interpersonal communication skills
– General machine operation and troubleshooting experience desired.
– Ability to serve as a collaborative manager and team worker to innovate creative solutions, expand the team, and maintain an overall level of excellence.
