Responsibilities of the Trust & Estate Planning Attorney:
– Provide steadfast support to help clients legally protect their legacy.
– Support families, beneficiaries as well as individual and corporate fiduciaries.
– Responsible for estate planning including counseling on life insurance and business planning, drafting wills and trusts, planning for the care of minors as well as succession and tax planning.

– Responsible for estate planning including counseling on life insurance and business planning, drafting wills and trusts, planning for the care of minors as well as succession and tax planning.
– Manage all aspects of estate and trust administration, spousal rights and liability as well as estate obligations.
– Obtain tax-qualified status for charitable trusts or foundations and prepare estate taxes.
– Represent trustees or beneficiaries in trust estate litigation, determine and enforce spousal rights and represent litigants in claims of breach of fiduciary duty.
Qualifications Summary of the Trust & Estate Planning Attorney:
– North Carolina state bar license required; other state bar license a plus.
– 5-7 years of practice with significant experience in trust and estate planning.
– Strong academic credentials.
– Exceptional research and writing skills.
– Demonstrated counseling and litigation skills, including state and federal courtroom experience.
– Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
– Strong problem-solving skills.
– Exceptional client service skills.
– Exceptional organizational and prioritization skills with careful attention to detail.
– Willingness and ability to become familiar with firm structure, policies, and practices.
