Workers’ Compensation Paralegal

Jones Networking is recruiting for a Workers’ Compensation Paralegal to join a leading Law Firm in Raleigh, NC. Our client offers a competitive salary and generous benefits including health insurance, 401(k), PTO, disability and life insurance.

Responsibilities Summary for the Workers’ Compensation Paralegal:
– Manage claims from inception through resolution.
– Create correspondence and documents.
– Prepare cases for hearings by reviewing files, obtaining documents, communicating with clients, attorneys, and insurance carriers.
– Have regular contact with clients and all relevant parties.
– Gather and analyze information relevant to the case; conduct an extensive review of each case.
– Request hearings to address outstanding issues.
– Read, understand, and summarize medical records and reports.
– Organize and maintain case files.

Qualifications Summary for the Workers’ Compensation Paralegal:
– 2+ years of Workers Compensation Case Management experience, Needles case management or Grow Path software is a plus.
– Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, both orally and in writing
– Knowledge of concepts, terminology and procedures of North Carolina workers’ compensation functions, jurisdictions, and administrative bodies
– Ability to multi-task required while maintaining attention to detail
– Proven record of meeting deadlines
